Practical tips for developing a Business Plan that works

The next event of the LEO Dublin City Network for Women will take place on Monday 9th June and will feature a talk by experienced business adviser Billy Linehan of Celtar (see profile below), on the practical benefits of having a good business plan and how we can produce plans that will work for both internal and external (funding/investor/partner) purposes.

Billy will talk about why business people don't use business plans enough and will look at how we can develop different types of business plans to meet different requirements (funding, for example).

Speaker Overview: Billy Linehan, MD Celtar business consultants

An experienced adviser, Billy has worked with the owners of hundreds of small companies, clarifying business goals, improving leadership skills, business planning - and developing and implementing strategy. With a strong commitment to the quality of business advice, he was accredited as a CMC (Certified Management Consultant) in 2003 and is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants and Advisers, www.imca.ie .

Billy co-writes, edits and contributes to clients' business plans on a regular basis and believes that a strong business plan can be the foundation rock of a successful enterprise, “there’s no place to hide when you are writing a business plan if it’s to be presented to a third party”. Like John Moran of the Department of Finance, he believes that funding and credit will be available for enterprises with “good business plans”.
