This fast-paced, practical session is designed for anyone selling products at markets, pop-ups, fairs or local retail events – from crafters and makers to artisan producers and creatives of all kinds.
Overview
Whether you new to selling or want to improve your return on effort, this session provides clear, actionable advice in three critical areas: visual presentation, confident selling and pricing for profit.
Participants will leave with the skills and confidence to improve their setup, engage more customers, and make their time at markets financially worthwhile.
This workshop is ideal for anyone selling physical products at markets, fairs, pop-ups or in-person events – whether they’re just starting out or looking to improve how they present, sell and price their offering for better results.
By the end of the workshop, participants will:
- Know how to design an eye-catching display that attracts customers and builds trust
- Understand how to engage confidently and convert browsers into buyers
- Learn the basics of pricing for profit, even when selling at low-volume, high-touch events
- Leave with a checklist for preparing and reviewing their pop-up experience
- Be more confident in their value, pricing and customer interactions
- Be encouraged to connect with LEO supports for further development
- Highly interactive: includes peer reviews, short challenges, examples, checklists, and a “display critique” segment
- Participants can bring photos of their market setup (or be invited to share them in advance for live feedback)
