In this practical and interactive session, Aisling O’Rourke will explore how business owners can use AI as a communications support tool without losing their voice or values. Drawing on her background in journalism and broadcasting, Aisling will demystify where AI can genuinely add value, and where human judgement remains essential.

The session will cover how to use AI responsibly, including an overview of the environmental impact of AI tools, practical ways to generate and refine press releases, and how to respond in real time to relevant news and events while maintaining accuracy and trust.

After the talk, Aisling will lead a discussion at the tables and Q&A

Speaker Profile: Aisling O’ Rourke, The Communications Coach

Aisling O’Rourke is an Award winning Broadcaster, Journalist and Communications Coach, and the founder of The Communications Coach. She works with business owners, senior leaders and public sector teams to help them communicate with greater clarity, confidence and credibility.

Aisling is the host of the Cut Through the Noise podcast, now in its tenth season, where she explores how emerging trends, including artificial intelligence, are reshaping communications, marketing and leadership. She is also the presenter of Let’s Go Green on Midlands 103, where she regularly examines sustainability, climate action and responsible business practices.

Her work sits at the intersection of communications strategy, media training and ethical storytelling. She is particularly interested in helping organisations use digital tools, including AI, in a way that supports clear messaging, protects trust and considers environmental impact. Aisling is a committee member of the Professional Speaking Association Ireland and works extensively with entrepreneurs and SMEs across Ireland.
