"Imposter to Empowered" - Talk followed by Networking

 Aoife O'Brien 2025

Speaker: Aoife O'Brien, Founder, Happier at Work

Date and Time: Tuesday 11th November 2025 17.45-20.30

Venue: Hyatt Centric Hotel, Dean St, The Liberties, Dublin, D08 W3X7

In this session, we’re diving into imposter syndrome – that nagging feeling of self‑doubt that can hold us back, no matter how much evidence we have of our success. We’ll explore where it comes from, why it shows up, and most importantly, how to tackle it head‑on.

We’ll cover:

  • What imposter syndrome is and how it shows up at work
  • Common triggers and who tends to experience it (hint: it’s more people than you think!)
  • How imposter syndrome can impact career growth and opportunities
  • The role organisations and managers play in either fuelling or fixing the problem
  • Practical steps to manage and overcome imposter syndrome

You’ll leave with tools, strategies, and insights to quiet that inner critic, recognise your achievements, and step into your career with confidence. By understanding imposter syndrome and learning how to work through it, you’ll feel more grounded, more authentic, and ready to take on what’s next.

Tea/coffee and sandwiches will be available before the talk and the evening will finish with networking over wine and soft drinks.
