Talk 1: Telling Your Story Online
The Telling Your Story session by Helen Shaw of Athena Media focuses on helping people and businesses to think about their work as stories and to create a digital communication strategy that embraces storytelling, digital content and uses social media, including Twitter, Linkedin and Instagram, as ways of connecting their stories with their clients, customers and audiences.
Talk 2: Meet the Entrepreneur: The Oriana B Story
Katharine Deas will talk about the story so far of her business Oriana B. an independent interiors store full of original homewares, comfortable furniture, quirky lighting and an ever changing vintage collection. The store has both a bricks and mortar and online presence, including a following of over 16,000 on Instagram.

Helen Shaw, Athena Media
Helen Shaw MD of award winning digital communications and consultancy agency Athena Media shares her template on digital storytelling for businesses, and how to use digital storytelling content tools like audio podcasting and social media.
Helen runs business storytelling and audio podcasting workshops regularly, recent clients include Publishing Ireland, UCD, UCC, TUS, and RIA, and she is working with Dublin City Council on audio and video storytelling as well as creating the transmedia project This Is Where We Live www.thisiswherewelive.ie
Athena Media creates client podcasts and runs its own house of podcasts including Pantisocracy and The Panti Personals as well as Helen's own podcast The Family of Things.
Katharine Deas, Oriana B
Katharine Deas has lived around the world where her work has taken her to a variety of diverse and exciting cities, including London, Madrid, Rome and New York. A long career that included being a Director of London’s former Olympic Stadium, commercial property funding and office block refurbishment has always been punctuated by weekends spent in art galleries, antique shops and flea markets. Katharine founded Oriana B. in 2019 spurred on by a love of good furniture having bought her first piece with wages from a summer job when she was just 16. Oriana B. is Katharine’s much loved second career and under her guidance has grown from a fledgling startup to an online store with over 900 products, a brick and mortar studio in Fairview Dublin 3 and a team of creative, passionate and committed individuals who strive every day to deliver truly individual interiors.
