This short session is designed to be very practical for business owners to help you understand what you can do right now to access funding, whether this is from Microfinance Ireland, SBCI, Banks or third party investors and the pitfalls to avoid. “Cashflow is King” so maximising income, reducing overheads, warehousing current taxation and temporary wage subsidy scheme (TWSS) will be covered at a high level. Businesses need to start developing a strategic plan with underlying assumptions and projections to stabilise your business and then begin to work within the new normal. Also business owners need to idenify all current and potential risks and adopt risk mitigation plans to tackle them.

Jason Dowling of Whelan Dowling & Associates is a partner responsible for SME’s, Audit / Assurance & GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance). He is also responsible for the provision of auditing and business advisory services to a broad range of clients in the public and private sector.
