David Rowan announced as keynote speaker at inaugural Mid East Regional Innovation Conference
Wicklow Local Enterprise Office is partnered with Meath, Kildare & Carlow Local Enterprise Offices to present the Mid East Regional Innovation Conference, taking place on Thursday 31st October at the Osprey Hotel, Naas, County Kildare. The event is to celebrate the thriving culture of innovation that exists throughout the Mid East Region, and to recognise the increased demand on the Mid East Local Enterprise Offices from the emerging technology sector for support in their development and the increase in demand from small businesses for support in innovation.
Headlining the event is David Rowan, world renowned speaker, innovation expert and author of best selling Non-Bullshit Innovation: Radical Ideas from the World's Smartest Minds. David tells a story of transformation through innovation and how companies have found new ways of doing things through innovation driven by ruthless entrepreneurial imagination. Having taken 130 flights in the past year on a quest to find genuine innovation inside successful companies, David has investigated the organisations and entrepreneurs that are changing our world - spending time with the founders of WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Google, Didi, Spotify, Xiaomi, Nest, Twitter, and collecting together some inspiring stories.

The event will also host disruptive e-commerce and social media entrepreneur, Seánie Walsh. Attendees will explore ‘Supporting Innovation in the Commercial World’ with agency speakers from Maynooth University, Carlow IT and UCD. Speakers from Enterprise Ireland, Grant Thornton and Local Enterprise Offices will highlight the range of Financial supports available to SME’s.
