Wicklow County Council, through the Local Enterprise Office (LEO), invites local businesses to a crucial in-person morning briefing titled “Tariffs & Trade Tactics – What Every Business Needs to Know About Mitigating Risk.” This event will take place at The GRID, Charlesland, Greystones, Co. Wicklow (A63 T9K1) on Friday 2nd May 2025, starting at 8:30am
This strategic session will be led by international trade expert Brian Murphy from Global Trade. Murphy will explain the political and economic forces driving recent US tariffs and their direct impact on Irish business operations. Attendees will learn how duties affect sales margins and will explore smarter, diversified market strategies, gaining practical tools to navigate today's increasingly complex global trade environment.
Commenting on the upcoming workshop, Cathaoirleach of Wicklow County Council, Cllr. Paul O’Brien, said: “Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy, and we encourage everyone to attend this important information session on Friday, 2nd May, with expert Brian Murphy from Global Trade in order to be informed and prepare if necessary.”
