A coffee roasting business from Wicklow Town is this year’s representative at the National Enterprise Awards, the Local Enterprise Office Wicklow has announced.

Craig, Darren and Catherine Brady will represent Local Enterprise Office Wicklow at the 24th National Enterprise Awards at the Mansion House in Dublin on Thursday 23rd May.

Irish Decal Products Ltd. sell souvenirs, gifts and (under the Brady’s Coffee brand), coffee beans, cold brew coffee in cans and a new soap product which uses local ingredients.  Brothers Craig and Darren, along with their father John and Craig’s wife Catherine will now be competing against 30 other finalists from every local authority area for a share of the €35,000 winners prize fund as national judging gets underway in April.  Categories this year include ‘Best Export Business,’ ‘Best Start-Up’ and ‘Innovation,’ in addition to eight regional awards.  There are also national awards for ‘One to Watch’ award and ‘Sustainability / Green Business’.

Speaking during Local Enterprise Week which ran from 4th -8th March this year, Vibeke Delahunt Head of Local Enterprise Office Wicklow said: “We are so proud to have the Brady family representing us this year.  They have a fascinating business story, involving pivoting from import and distribution of souvenirs to the creation of a first class coffee roastery, achieving superb exports to the US, the development of a delicious canned cold brew coffee and now a range of beautiful locally produced soaps.  The energy and ambition of this company is unstoppable!”
