About Innovate Wicklow!
For businesses who:
- Want to grow their business
- Wish to create more value or improve/transform their business
- Are looking to innovate to create opportunity – and need support to do so
- Have concerns about the effects of Brexit & Covid-19 on their business model
Programme Delivery:
Participants will be supported through a defined innovation process, through:
- 6 x group workshops: from 10am to 1pm (online Thursday mornings)
- 1x 1:1 mentoring session with design strategist
- Final networking and review event (live)
All masterclasses and mentoring sessions are delivered online through MicroSoft Teams.
Programme Details:
The masterclasses will provide an introduction to design driven innovation process and the designers tool kit and in-depth diagnostics for the business.
The online workshops and mentoring will apply visual mapping of the strategic design four stage approach, including:
- State of Play – Assessment of existing business: Capacity, Resources, Finances, Stakeholders, Market Demands, Supply Chains, Use Groups, User Needs. Identify what’s working and what’s not.
- Framing - Opportunities and challenges
- Ideation/Evaluation - Generating new ideas/solutions. Evaluation of usability, feasibility an viability.
- Action – Develop a strategic roadmap with steps to implementation. Connect with follow-on supports for developing innovation.
Outputs
- Defined strategic roadmap : Steps to implementation, resources required, key decision points, critical factors, milestones, timeframes, etc.
- Innovation toolkit with 30+ innovation tools.
Outcomes
- Identification and framing of new strategy for growth and innovation – which may include new markets, new products, services or new ways of doing things.
- Review of funding streams to match roadmap.
Impacts
- Introduction of critical thinking.
- Introduction of visualizing data techniques.
- Applied knowledge of design approaches to innovation.
- Replicable process of innovation (through toolkit).
Dates and Application Process:
- Programme commencement date for 2022 - to be finalised.
- Workshop dates and individual follow up session - dates to be confirmed.
- The programme is significantly subsidised. Cost to participants €200.
- Places are limited to a maximum of 10 participants. Selection criteria will apply.
- Selection will be based on the information proved in the Expression of Interest Form.
- Successful applicants will be provided with a booking link for payment in advance.
