Food Starter Programme - Calling all Food Enthusiasts

CALLING ALL FOOD ENTHUSIASTS

Are you an entrepreneur with a food idea, in the early stages of starting up a food business (typically the first 24 months) or seeking to progress onto the food academy programme*?

Wicklow is a haven for food entrepreneurs, with an increase in the amount of activity on its food landscape, producer numbers growing, and new food events popping up around the County the Local Enterprise Office Wicklow is providing a Food Starter Programme. This is a two-day course that will inform budding food entrepreneurs on what to expect on their food journey.

The course takes place on, Tuesday the 10th and 24th of March 2020 and lead by James Burke of James Burke & Associates. Day one will focus on providing participants with an overview of the food sector in Ireland and getting participants to get more focus on their objectives for their food business. Day two will be more hands-on with a focus on finance, state agency supports and funding, distribution and logistics, identifying the unique positioning for the product, understanding branding and communication, and supports available and next steps.  This is an exceptional course that any food entrepreneur would benefit from participating in.
