This session provides a practical overview of the income tax system and guides participants through compiling a simple set of accounts using Microsoft Excel. Each delegate receives a ready-to-use spreadsheet developed by our team to help manage their business finances effectively.

Programme Synopsis

• Understanding Income Tax – what it is how the system works and when it must be paid
• Recording sales and purchase invoices
• Identifying allowable business expenses for Income Tax
• Creating a book keeping system
• Understanding summary reports for preparing Form 11 returns

The second session concludes with an online walkthrough of the 2025 Form 11, demonstrating how to complete it using the sample figures generated from the workbook.

By the end of this session participants will have an understanding of Form 11 taxes for the self-employed.
