This programme is designed to enable participants to develop their understanding of the legal taxation requirement for a small business.
Overview
Participants will gain a working knowledge of Taxation issues and the ways in which to manage accounts and prepare tax accounts. They will be shown the correct assessment forms required by the Revenue and be guided through their completion.
Programme Objectives:
- Review premises requirements and legal obligations
- Be introduced to the concept of business taxation and the correct method of accounting of same
- Understand Business Taxation i.e. Corporation Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Income Tax, Self- Assessment, Deferred Tax, Thresholds and Exemptions
- VAT: Registration; income threshold; rates and completion and reconciliation
