Webinar: September Reset Tips

Date: Wednesday 14th September 2022

Time: 11.00-12.00

Moira Dunne 2022

Speaker: Moira Dunne, beproductive.ie

After the distractions and downtime of the summer months, September offers a chance to reset and refocus. There is a ‘back to school’ feeling as we settle into our work routines. It can feel like a mini–New Year and we often vow to make changes or try new things. It doesn’t take long for business and work life to ramp back up and before we know it, we are back on that busy, busy treadmill.

Our relaxed ‘summer vibe’ is soon eroded. Stress can kick in as we consider all the things we need to get done. In this talk,  Moira will discuss the importance of a September Reset to help stay calm and be productive.

In this talk Moira Dunne will discuss some tips on how to do that:

Tip 1: Reset your Mind

Take a moment to review the year to date. Then consider the coming months. What worked well so far, what needs to change? What will boost your motivation & energy levels for the busy months ahead?

Tip 2: Reset your Goals

Consider goals you set at the start of 2022. Have new ones emerged? Can old ones be removed?

To prioritise the most important goals, project forward and ask yourself, “what will make this year a success?”

Tip 3: Reset your Plans

“A goal without a plan is just a wish”. Drill down your high level goal into actions. Simply ask, “what work needs to be done to achieve this goal?” Brainstorm your ideas, then transfer the list of actions into a plan.

Tip 4: Reset your Routines

Get back into the swing of things with a good weekly plan. Try a new morning routine to set yourself up for a productive day. Use the Time Blocking technique to protect time in your diary for planned priority work.

Moira’s talk will include plenty of opportunity to ask questions during and after the session.
