The annual barbecue is always one of the highlights of our year as it is an opportunity for members to come together for a social evening while enjoying a talk by a high profile speaker, followed by a barbecue meal (meat and vegetarian options) and wine This year, our Guest Speaker will bel leading jewellery entrepreneur Melissa Curry.
Melissa Curry is an award winning designer - innovator, internationally celebrated for her progressive brands and collaborations. Now currently designing for Richard Branson on his sustainable first new luxury cruise ships, Virgin Voyages. Where she has curated a range of sustainable, collections and retail solutions to enhance customer engagement and retention for their premium retail stores.
She has been at the forefront of design and innovation in retail + travel retail for over 20 years. Her purposeful driven products are always on the pulse of societal shifts and trends. Her cross generational brnads focus on customer elevation, sustainability, inclusivity, CSR.
Rising quickly to the world stage, Melissa went on to collaborate with major brands, including Liberty, Le Bon Marché , Galleries Lafayette, Swarovski, Absolut, Moët et Chandon, Facebook, Eithad, Cathay Pacific, Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Voyages, Google, ARI, Aerlingus.
Melissa is currently working on her new GEN Z brand PÓG, a new gift solution built to empower the younger generations, and the Irish diaspora. Built as an Irish connector that can be sent to friends and loved ones all around the world, sharing the vibrancy of what Ireland is today.
