 Festive 2021 corrected

It has been another challenging year that has made planning difficult but our members have responded magnificently with innovations and pivots where they could.   We’ll celebrate all those achievements and the resilience of our members at our last Webinar of the year on Thursday 9th December where the winners of our annual Awards will be announced and you will also have the opportunity to hear internationally renowned speaker Aoife Dunican of The Stylebob share her expertise on The Power of Image for our Confidence, Communications and Wellbeing.

The event will feature a welcoming address from the Lord Mayor of Dublin Alison Gilliland, a short talk and announcement of Award Winners by Mary Mac Sweeney, Deputy Head of Economic Development and Enterprise with Dublin City Council and the talk by Aoife Dunican of The Stylebob:

What should our image look like in this new world and does it really matter?

Aoife will share her knowledge on how we can mindfully choose clothes to boost our mood in these times and also how to use our image to achieve our professional goals.

Our Image plays a big role in how we communicate and can be an extension of who we are and what we stand for. How we turn up visually controls our confidence levels, states our intention and plays a large part in how people perceive us. Did you know that wearing certain colours affects not only our hormones but also the hormones of others? Adrenaline producing colours like red create energy on the screen which is great for confidence and passion however blue and green are calming colours and convey a sense of calm, trust, and reliability.

The pandemic has also changed how we dress for the new hybrid work environment and people are unsure of what to wear now and what to invest in. As a personal stylist, Aoife goes through her top tips on how to create a wardrobe that not only represents her clients’ personal and professional brand but one that they will be proud to open every day. This talk also touches on her 7 l's of a successful video call to create an impactful presence on screen.

We will have a little bit of time at the end for some networking.
