This special Networking Lunch on 9th October will be a lovely opportunity to hear from three outstanding entrepreneurs while networking over lunch with other women in business.  

The entrepreneurs have all won the Female Entrepreneur of the Year or Rising Star Awards in the network:

Speaker Profiles

Yinka Martin, Founder, HairWeavon

A former winner of the Female Entrepreneur of the Year winner, Yinka Martin is the founder of HairWeavon. Yinka started out studying Science at Dublin City University. Upon graduating, she undertook a Project Management course and worked in the corporate world as a Project Manager for a number of years before starting her own company in 2011. HairWeavon is an eCommerce business, with its HQ in Dublin, Ireland and a recent new location in Austin Texas. HairWeavon is a marketplace for all products relating to wigs and hair pieces. They support a community of women and some men experiencing hair loss due to cancer diagnosis, Alopecia, and other hair loss conditions. Yinka’s goal is to support women in whatever she does, and being able to use her business to serve a community of women is a daily privilege for her. She’s a first-generation immigrant to Ireland and mum of two young children. Yinka is interested in continuing to grow HairWeavon whist maintaining life balance, personal well-being, fitness, travel, and making meaningful connections with people.

Daisy Mauhay, Co-Founder, The Nightingale Placement Agency

2022 Female Entrepreneur of the Year Winner Daisy Mauhay graduated as a nurse and took up her masteral in the University of the Philippines, the premier university in her country. She came to Ireland in 2001 and joined St. Vincent’s University Hospital as neurology nurse advancing to acute medicine after 12 years. She continued to enrich her nursing knowledge and understanding of the healthcare industry while actively participating in Filipino Healthcare community activities. 

She also put up several small businesses and established a Montessori or Day Care Centre which is again part of her original plan when she specialised as maternal and childcare nurse in the Philippines. In 2016, encouraged by her husband Ronald, she founded The Nightingale Placement Agency later giving the company her entire focus in 2020. Three years later in 2022, she became the LEO Female Entrepreneur of the Year awardee.A dedicated mother of four teenage girls and happily married to a very supportive husband, Daisy continues to make a difference offering innovative approach and investing in the future through technology. Her company, The Nightingale Placement Agency continues to grow as a company maintaining the same philosophy she grew up with and making a difference by treating every client as a family deserving excellent healthcare services.

Lauren O’Neill, Co-Founder, ProMotion Rewards

Lauren O’Reilly is the co-founder and COO of ProMotion Rewards. Through first-party insights gathered from consumers across channels via their mobile app of the same name, ProMotion Rewards allow Consumer Goods brands to transcend the retailer and meet the consumer wherever they are. They reward consumers for digitising their shopping data, in exchange for points that they can redeem for real-world rewards. The app is quickly becoming a household favourite for shopping rewards in Ireland, as they look to expanding to international territories in the near future. 

The company has raised over €800k in funding to date and enlists Clarins and Unilever as some of their esteemed customers to date. 

Lauren is also a qualified Pharmacist, and has been listed as Ireland's 30 under 30 in Technology by the Business Post and Sunday Independent, respectively. Lauren was also the winner of the LEO Dublin City “Rising Star” Award in 2022. 

  

Paula Fitzmaurice, Blazing Salads Food Co and FLIP Vegan Burger Bar

Pamela is the owner of Blazing Salads Food Co which opened in 2000 and FLIP Vegan Burger Bar (https://www.flipburger.ie) which opened 2020. The Blazing Salads cookbook was published in 2004 and has been very successful in sales.  BLAZING SALADS 2 was published in May 2013 In 2005 Paula won the Female Entrepreneur Award through Dublin Enterprise Board. She gets great satisfaction in mentoring start-up companies and individuals to bring their ideas/business forward, progression and to conclusion. Pamela has have done many public speaking seminars on making businesses profitable, encouraging individuals to follow their dreams and building successful companies.
