In order to succeed in business, you must have a clear target.  Often setting goals can feel overwhelming or there may be an unknown quality of ‘where do I start’.  Even when you start, how do you practically stay on track in the weeks and months afterwards?  Having a plan of action and knowing how to put this in place and follow up is the focus of this event.

Getting comfortable with your numbers is essential and the most successful business owners are in the habit of keeping a close eye on the key numbers.  Wendy will touch on how you set targets and assess what is working, what is profitable and how to review and take stock on a regular basis.  This allows you to take proactive steps and stay in control of your finances every month.

If you’re new to working with written goals, this event will be particularly beneficial for you. With a clear plan, you know where you are going.  You act with purpose towards your business goals every day to achieve them QUICKER than you ever thought possible.

The talks will be followed by networking over wine and finger food from Blazing Salads (www.blazingsalads.com),

This event is open to non-members but all must register before 12pm on Friday 28th September through this form: https://goo.gl/forms/bV338K8SsfyHST8A3 .

SPEAKER PROFILE

Wendy Merrigan is a Fellow Chartered Accountant with a practice in Dublin.   She has worked with goal setting for over 20 years.  In her accounting role she focuses on clients short, medium and long term financial goals.  Facilitating meetings for clients ensuring they take time out to review where they are taking their business.  Growing profit level is her key focus.  All too often business owners focus on growing sales and busy-ness takes over.  The end of year profit or loss figure doesn’t reflect the effort and hours that have been dedicated through a year.  This in turn leaves the business owner frustrated and unhappy.

Wendy’s focus with clients is reviewing how they spend their time and what side of their business they are growing (to ensure they are focussed on the profitable areas).   Understanding the numbers of a business and the profit level of income streams at a very high can help business owners to focus daily to ensure their business is profitable.
